Scotch looks distinctly like a boy. Maybe it's just me. Why is Rampage so thin? I was going to say Boo needs more detail, but then I remembered that she's a Blank, so she's the personification of anonymity and lack-of-detail. So GJ.
I like how you depict Blackjack. She looks calm and young. In others she always looks mad, crazy, and smug. Her eyes are beautiful, the pink under the eyes is perfect, the legs look gritty, I like the look of her underlip, the shading and light on her is amazing, not too bright, not too dark. To be honest, she looks a bit like a human. (Same thing with Glory)
The background makes me hear something, it sounds like wind calmly blowing through the air.
I agree. I hate when Blackjack (and Hired Gun, for that matter) get characterized as too rough-and-tumble, battle-scarred, or scary. At the same time, I hate when people make her too MLP-stock and she ends up looking like she hasn't spent a better part of her time in the Wasteland getting shot at, blown up, and killed at least twice. (Not sure, stopped reading for a while)
Honestly, I think I like Littlepip in pictures more than Blackjack, because she's not a cybernetic-constant-upgrade-whiskey-drinking-getting-blown-up-shooty-bang-face-the-crap-I've-seen-I-AM-THE-WASTELAND kind of pony. Whilst being in a gritty world with violent head chopping and arm tearing, she manages to keep herself at times (not counting the addiction), she looks the most "not ready for battle", until she's in battle. Picture this.
You're a raider. You see a small pony with brown tail and mane, green/brown eyes. Your stomach rumbles, as if this wandering runt was a piece of cake. You charge, your pipe ready to swing. Before you know it, she's levitating a 44. (or 357., I forgot, I haven't read it in a while) magnum up to your face, you stop in your tracks, and next, the last thing that goes through your head... besides the bullet ...is "Oh sh-".
But with Blackjack, if you're a bandit and you see a scarred cyborg with a million attachments and guns, it's a no-brainer, you stay.
I'm off track. The point is, I have a weird little thing with me, I don't like it too eye flashy high detailed, but I also don't like it all eye-hurty low detailed, I like it in the middle, and Blackjack in this picture is right in the middle, perfectly, not a centimeter off.
